Objective was a comparative analysis of the efficiency of psychopharmacotherapy and combined psychopharmaco- and psychotherapy in bipolar affective disorder (BAD). 40 BAD patients were examined. To objectify the dynamics of clinical characteristics of BAD against the background of the treatment the following psychometric tools were used: Structured Interview Guide For The Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, Seasonal Affective Disorders Version (SIGH-SAD), The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS), Clinical Global Impression Scale (CGI), The Social Adaptation Self-Evaluation Scale. Results of the study showed a higher efficiency of psychopharmacotherapy combined with interpersonal and social rhythmic psychotherapy in BAD patients in comparison with psychopharmacotherapy alone.
