Efficiency of Regional Authorities in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in Conditions of Implementing the Far Eastern Policy

The article analyzes regional authorities in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the context of implementing the Far Eastern policy. Regional policy in modern Russia is evolving under the influence of the development of federal relations. Reforms to centralize power in the 2000s affected the position and status of regional authorities – heads of subjects and their administrations, regional parliaments. Recently, the implementation of regional policy in the Far East has been updated, accompanied by institutional and infrastructural innovations. In the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), socio-economic policy is actively pursued, which affects the support and elections of the current head of the subject.
