Breast cancer is the most common malignant neoplasm in women. Radical mastectomy remains an integral component of treatment, while along with an increase in survival, the number of women disabled during radical treatment is also increasing. Recently, emphasis has been placed on improving the quality of life of patients with breast cancer. To date, breast reconstructive surgery is an important component in the general treatment regimen of the patient. Breast reconstruction reduces the psychological trauma associated with mastectomy, women lose the feeling of mutilation, depression and fears about their femininity. The variety of modifications and variants of reconstructive interventions gives rise to the problem of choice, which must be solved together with the patient.
