The Effectiveness of Tactical Methods of Face-To-Face Confrontation using Video Conferencing Systems

The article examines the practical aspects of using videoconferencing systems in confrontations and their impact on the organizational and tactical support of an investigation. Three groups of organizational situations are identified that develop in the process of preparing for a face-to-face meeting using video conferencing. A general analysis of the effectiveness of the conditions and tactics of the confrontation using video conferencing is carried out: choosing a stable previously interrogated participant who is able to defend his testimony through the use of psychologically offensive methods of influencing an opponent; establishing psychological contact with a person defending truthful testimony in the case; parallel analysis of the testimony of the persons being examined; creating a psychologically tense atmosphere for participants; the use of conflict relations between participants; detailing the testimony of participants; presentation of evidence; interrogation of the participants in the confrontation in turn; interrogation of the participants regarding conflicting circumstances in chronological order of their occurrence. The conclusion is made about the advantage of conducting a confrontation in the traditional, face-to-face manner of interaction between communicating participants.
