In the context of the transition of the economies of countries to innovative development, logistic processes that contribute to the rationalization of the placement of productivity of forces, as well as the construction of a single economic space of the country, are one of the most relevant research topics. Within the framework of this study, it is planned to analyze the impact of the efficiency of building transport and logistics systems on the competitiveness of countries. The efficiency of building transport and logistics systems is measured using the logistics efficiency index. The authors of the study built a number of regression models that allow assessing the impact on the competitiveness of countries both the logistics efficiency index as a whole, and separately its components. The information base for constructing regression models is the data of 130 countries in the period 2014-2018. As a result, the positive impact of the logistics performance index on the competitiveness of countries, measured using the global competition index, was revealed. Analysis of the influence of individual components of the logistics efficiency index made it possible to identify the statistical significance of indicators such as the level of development of customs and infrastructure in relation to the competitiveness of countries. The sustainable functioning of transport both on the territory of the country and in adjacent territories will contribute to an increase in the level of the country's competitiveness on an international scale.
