Effective synthesis of the magnesium salt of n-acetyltaurine on the basis of purified bischofite

The magnesium salt of N-acetyltaurine, an effective agent for correcting magnesium deficiency, was synthesized with a high yield by N-acylation of taurine in water in the presence of magnesium oxide obtained from purified bischofite.
