Ecological aspects of demography of Toropets in last 30 years (analytic review)

The article presents the analysis of birth-rate and death-rate of the town dwellers of Totopets - typical small town of Russia over the last 30 years. During the 1971-1990 the birth-rate was equal to death-rate. After the 1990 the birth-rate indexes decreased twice during five years and remained stable in next five years 1996-2000. The indexes of the death-rate have grown and stabilized in 1,4 times than during the 1985-1990. It can be concluded that in last five years the death-rate three times prevailed over birth-rate. Depopulation processes, that are common for our days in small towns appears 2-3 year later in comparison with the whole country but the birth-rate become smaller.
