Ecologycal features of ecotone «Forest-steppe – steppe»

In this article we described ecological features of ecotone territories, such as ecotone between Forest-Steppe and Steppe right bank of Dniepro region of Ukraine. We used method synphytoindication and identified the main features of edaphic and climatic factors for forest, schrub and steppe vegetation. The main differentiative factors on the border areas are: moisture, carbonate content, nitrogen compounds, trophicity and soil acidity, ombrorezhim, kriorezhim and continental climate.
