Ecological grass cover characteristics on logging sites treated and untreated by controlled fire

Бесплатный доступ

This paper focuses on fire impacts on grass cover development and ecological characteristics. 6-yr-old logging sites were subjected to broadcast controlled burning, while a number of other logging sites were allowed to regenerate naturally and were taken as controls. Green grass biomass was found to be greater on treated sites compared to controls, which resulted from a post-fire increase in ash elements coming into soil.
