Environmental problems of the source "Narzan" of the resort city of Kislovodsk

This article focuses on the environmental problems of the Narzan spring in Kislovodsk. An important point is that the state of the sources of medicinal water causes quite serious concerns. And the source, if no measures are taken, can already be safely called a decoration for tourists and an object of historical heritage. The most important cause of pollution is - we, in our case, Kislovodsk residents. Nature is quite hard to bear the modern anthropogenic load. To date, the entire groundwater horizon is polluted. The second reason is that Kislovodsk is still not completely canalized. Monitoring showed that more than 40% of the city does not have a sewer system. This also includes the deterioration of existing water and sewer lines, leaks from which also fall into the ground. Samples from the source "Narzan" showed 100% presence of E. coli. Since 2019, the administration of the city of Kislovodsk has been dealing with the problem described by us.
