Environmental audit

The paper considers the role of environmental auditing in ensuring environmental security and sustainable development of organizations. The objectives of environmental auditing are considered, the main types of environmental auditing are presented. There are two main types of environmental auditing that environmental auditors can perform. One of these is a compliance audit in cases where a business complies with internal and external environmental regulations and legislation. The other is a management performance auditing, which measures whether a business meets the criteria for management systems. The contribution of environmental auditing to the development of the organization has been determined. The auditor makes recommendations to correct inconsistencies or improve the company’s environmental performance.
