Environmental awareness of youth as an object of sociological research

The article deals with the peculiarities of the ecological consciousness of young people. The results of the empirical research indicate a sufficiently high level of ecological consciousness of the youth of Belgorod. The following contradiction is noted: on the one hand, students show concern about environmental problems, and on the other - the vast majority of respondents do not take specific actions aimed at solving environmental problems and protecting the environment.
