Econometric model of changing the number of permanent population of the largest city

The article presents an econometric model of changes in the resident population of the largest city under the influence of municipal targeted programs. The model is based on statistical data from the city of Perm. The model is based on the hypothesis that an indicator of the achievement of the strategic goal of the city’s development is the improvement of the quality of life, an increase in the resident population is influenced by a number of factors regulated by municipal targeted programs. The constructed model meets the quality criteria and shows a rather high accuracy of the forecast of changes in the number of permanent residents, which allows us to recommend its use in assessing the effectiveness of the implementation of urban programs and city development strategies.
