Econometric modeling and forecasting migration processes in the regions

This article gives an overview of econometric models of the migration processes in Russia and its’ regions, reveals a number of the major factors influencing inflow and outflow of migrants. An adequate econometric model was proposed for the Republic of Tatarstan, which allows to analyze and predict migration processes in the region. A comparative analysis of the results of the econometric model is presented.
