Econometric modeling of the state of higher education in the regions of Russia

The main trends in the development of higher education in Russia are considered. The main factors determining the development of the higher education system at the regional level are identified. A system of indicators of the market of regional services in the field of higher education has been formed. The analysis of the dependence of the number of graduates of bachelor’s degree, specialty and master’s degree on a number of key factors is carried out. Linear regression equations are constructed using the principal component method. To clarify the typological differences at the regional level, regions were divided into clusters based on the main components and typological regression models were constructed for the obtained groups of regions.
