Small business economic activity in the context of the pandemic

This paper considers the economic activity of small businesses in the context of the pandemic. A number of measures of the Government of the Russian Federation aimed at mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on the small business economy are specified: reduction of insurance premiums, introduction of deferred and installment payments for taxes, deadlines for reporting to the Federal Tax Service of Russia and social funds, preferential loans, etc. The dynamics of issuing loans to small businesses is presented. The preferences of small businesses for state support measures in the crisis are revealed: deferral (reduction) of taxes, financial support (subsidies), credit on preferential terms, rent and credit holidays, reduction (cancellation) of mandatory contributions and utility payments, cancellation of tax reporting checks. The paper analyzes information about the reaction of small businesses to the crisis phenomena of the economy: a significant drop in sales is observed in trade, architecture and construction; production, IT -sphere, education, hotel and restaurant business suffer significant losses.
