Economic security of the engineering industry in the context of implementing the policy of technological sovereignty

Anti-Russian sanctions, actively introduced since 2022 by the "collective West", have caused significant damage to the Russian economy. This is a realized threat to national economic security. One of the consequences of the implementation of this threat is the aggrava-tion of the problem of technological sovereignty, in the solution of which domestic mechanical engineering plays a key role. The article considers the specifics of the development of mechanical engineering, considering the challenges of sanctions and threats to economic security and the need to ensure technological sovereignty. It is shown that for the successful development of me-chanical engineering, it is necessary to intensify state support for this industry.
