The essential and integral part of urban economics is its infrastructure, which is presented in the article as a materialized part of the economic mechanism. The author substantiates the duality of the economic mechanism of the urban economics. On the one hand, this mechanism serves as a manufacturing infrastructure, which consists of combination of tangible and intangible objects (providing function). On the other hand, it is a group of economic branches (institutional function).
