Economic modernization of Buryatia in 1920-1930s: general tendencies and regional features

Along with the federal tendencies of economic modernization of the Buryat-Mongolian ASSR in 1920-1930s, the article examines and analyzes its regional features including substantial impact of geopolitical situation; low starting level of the republican economy; creation of large-scale industry based on the industry formed in the country with the help of state budget; significant exogenous character.
