Economic assessment of the innovative development of crop production in the Orel region

The article reveals the role and importance of crop production in the region in solving problems of the country's food security, identifies trends and structure of its innovative development, and conducts a comprehensive analysis of the industry's efficiency for 2020-2024. The article considers target indicators of national projects implemented in the country, providing for the development of the agro-industrial complex. The reasons for the decrease in the share of crop products in the total volume of agricultural products produced and the gross profitability of the industry in the agricultural organizations are identified. The payback of costs in crop production and its impact on the production structure are analyzed. The highest payback of costs remains for oilseeds. In the structure of costs for the production of crop products, almost stable standards for the share of material costs and labor costs have been established. Innovative technologies for the production of crop products in the region and high professional level of workers in the agrarian sector allowed to achieve an increase in labor productivity; its level and wages were analyzed. Based on the results of the study, it is proposed to supplement the national project "Technological Support for Food Security" with an economic section, including a scientifically based methodology for social and economic calculations of the effectiveness assessment in all the areas of its implementation.
