Economic assessment of forest resources in the region

This study is devoted to the analysis of national forest resources of the Komi Republic using new methods of management of environmental and economic accounting of natural resources (SEEA). This study examined the effectiveness of new approaches to valuing forests as natural resources, including social, economic and environmental aspects. SEA examines international and national experience in assessing forest services. The main objective of this study includes the creation of systematic methods and indicators, the development of methods and the use of analysis based on existing knowledge and accounting. The purpose of this study is the forest resources of the country. National accounting and reporting data from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Komi Republic for 2008-2022 were used as primary data. The results of this study include a comprehensive analysis of key indicators and the distribution and distribution of forest areas by type of forest change and process. This makes it possible to find out the density of forests in the central and southern regions of the republic. This study shows the importance of maintaining a balance between the plant and growing conditions, as well as the need to reduce energy consumption. These results enable the development of forest management policies aimed at improving the efficiency of forest management and ensuring its acceptance from the perspectives of use, human health, business and the environment.
