The article discusses the content of the only Soviet specialized periodical that continued to be published during the Great Patriotic War and covered, inter alia, the issues of combating official crimes, thefts on production, and violations of the law in the trade and distribution of consumer goods. In addition to criminal episodes, information is given about the features, successes and shortcomings in the work of the Soviet law enforcement system during the war period. It is concluded that this source has retained its significance for modern historians.
