The article discusses the effects of crisis instability on the quality and quantity oftelevision production, the television advertising market and domestic televisionin general. It describes trends in the development of the Russian television in themedium-term. It is concluded that, despite the difficult economic and politicalsituation and technical progress in the country and the world, television remainsthe most popular of all media.
