From 1995 till 2014, 1296 elderly patients with BPH were operated at the urology department of the Samara Regional Clinical Hospital for War Veterans. Among them, 198 (15.4%) patients underwent simultaneous operations. These operations included vesical prostatectomy or transurethral resection of the prostate combined with the other urological or surgical pathology. The analysis of the economic effects of conducting simultaneous operations was carried out taking into account the cost of health services in the CHI system of the Samara Region as of February 1, 2014. As a result, the conditional economic effect amounted to 15 839 405 rubles, which is 2,3 times less than in separate operating.
