The article provides an overview of the sanctions adopted by the West against Russia in 2022. The implementation of joint projects has been halted, a ban on the import of goods has been introduced, Russian banks have been disconnected from the SWIFT payment system, transactions with fuel and energy companies have been banned, etc. As a result, prices for energy resources and food products have increased. The article notes that the adopted restrictions can lead not only to domestic problems, but also to a global world crisis. Thus, sanctions against the Russian Federation will negatively affect the state of the economy of many foreign countries. In such conditions, the Russian authorities are increasingly making decisions to stimulate domestic production. Hence the importance of studying the current situation and determining directions for maintaining the country's economic security.
