The article considers the role of innovation systems in the economic development of small business at the regional level. The analysis of the impact of innovation systems on the development of small businesses. In the analysis, the author uses the correlation analysis, which reveals a positive relationship between a number of indicators characterizing the innovation system and the economic development of small businesses in the regions of the Russian Federation. As a result of the analysis developed a set of measures in the areas of small business development and innovation.
