The paper investigates the task of economic management of Industry 4.0 business systems formed by groups of digital, smart and virtual factories operating in the same industry and integrated into a common value chain. It proposes a scheme of economic management system in which business processes are complementary and based on cyber technologies and principles of inter-firm cooperation, ensuring targeted use of companies' resources. A decentralized mechanism of economic management is implemented, in which each factory in the end-to-end chain acts as both a subject and an object of management, influencing the business processes or being influenced by the regulators of the business system. The space of managed parameters of companies is defined in accordance with economic categories and allows for controlled business behaviour of factories in the market, where fluctuations in supply and demand are considered as external influences (market challenges) on the business system and its business processes
