An economic and geographic overview of Kyrgyzstan. Economic, social, gender, and environmental problems of the republic

The article analyzes the current economic situation in Kyrgyzstan in order to identify the most important problems that hinder the sustainable development of the statehood. The article analyzes the main economic, social and environmental problems of the republic. The author concludes that the most important problems of Kyrgyzstan are: the small size of the country's economy, unstable economic growth of the republic, accompanied by systematic recessions, a sharp bias of the country's economy towards the extractive sector, environmental problems, as well as a rather high level of gender inequality and corruption, which prevent the sustainable development of the republic and the growth of the quality of life in the country.
