Economic and mathematical model of the hype cycle in market conjuncture

The article reveals the modern characteristics of the dynamics of the economic situation thatgenerate hype processes. It is shown that they are based on the superposition of multidirectional trends. Eachof them is formed according to the models of viral dissemination of information, interest in innovations andinnovative products. Each of the models is a sigmoid function. Their superposition is a general model of thehype cycle (Gartner). The adequacy of the obtained model is tested on empirical data on the dynamics of queries in search engines.
