The article proposes to consider the issue of labor rationing from an economic and legal point of view. It’s prevalent experience to study this topic in the context of establishing and calculating performance indicators and time boundaries in the workplace, however, in our case it touches the problem of legislative regulation of the procedure for introducing, improving or changing regulatory aspects. This article purpose was the systematic identification of "bottlenecks" in the legislation in the field of workers activity regulation, as well as the establishment of ways to overcome them. The publication authors draw attention to the complexity of the legal work and rest ratio regulation at the enterprise, as well as the necessity to improve it at the local, regional and state levels.
