Poultry farming is the most dynamically developing sub-sector of animal husbandry. Egg production in farms of all categories in the Russian Federation in 2024 amounted to 46.5 billion pieces, which is 0.43% less than in 2023 and 36.4% higher than the 2000 level. Poultry meat production in slaughter weight in farms of all categories in the Russian Federation in 2024 amounted to 5.45 million tons, which is 2.1% more than in 2023 and 7.1 times higher than in 2000. Sustainable development of broiler poultry farming depends on many technical, technological, organizational and economic factors. The production of broiler meat (using the example of OOO POZTS Svezhenka) has a multi-stage cost system that is formed as a result of the following technological processes: maintenance of the parent stock, production of hatching eggs, incubation of eggs, growing broilers (production of live poultry for slaughter), slaughter and processing of poultry (production of poultry meat and by-products), storage of products. The most important technological parameter that determines the meat yield per unit of useful area of the poultry house is the broiler stocking density. The most optimal stocking density for floor broiler growing in the conditions of Closed-type production association (CTPA) Svezhenka LLC is 19-21 heads/m². With this stocking density, the meat yield in live weight per 1 m² of floor was 48.3-50.3 kg, and the European efficiency factor was 379-430 units. An economically efficient technology for floor-based broiler rearing using LED lamps and an energy-saving intermittent lighting mode has been developed and implemented into production. The reserves for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of broiler poultry farming at CTPA Svezhenka LLC have been identified based on improving poultry keeping and feeding technologies. Priority areas for innovative development of the poultry industry in 2025 and for the period up to 2030 have been developed.
