Excursion activity as a factor of development of tourism in the territory of resorts of Caucasian Mineral Waters

This article analyzes the state of tourism development in the Stavropol Territory. The analysis was based on economic indicators showing the volume of paid services provided to the population by the enterprises of the tourism industry, according to official statistical information. The study argued that the region is among the five most hospitable tourist destinations in Russia. The state of excursion activity was monitored. The volume of excursion services sold directly depends on the number of arriving tourists. As part of the consideration of the issues raised, the problems of accessibility of objects of natural and cultural display for the adoption of inclusive tourists and the organization of excursions are touched upon. Recommendations for optimization of excursion activities in the Caucasian Mineralnye Vody are proposed.
