Experimental findings of morphological, haemotological, immune and biochemical studies describing compensatory and adaptative response of lab СBA white mice following simulated rib injury have been reviewed. Rib fracture in animals has shown to cause moderate tensioning in adaptative response and results in stable reproducible morphological pattern of bone tissue regeneration. The findings have shown that the injured rib model can be applied to experimental study of reparative osteogenesis and metabolic response to osseous injury.
