Characteristic indicators of the process of grinding coarse grains are: a) energy consumption per unit of the newly formed surface E , i.e. energy intensity of the grinding process, taking into account the degree of grinding λ ; b) grinding module M ; c) unevenness of the crushed product (coefficient of variation of the grinding module) v , %; c) the content of whole grains in the crushed product (by weight) C , %. These indicators were originally postulated as criteria for the optimality of the process of vibration grinding of coarse grains. Other indicators are obtained as intermediate calculations in the calculation of optimality criteria. Then the multi-criteria problem was transformed into a single-criterion task based on the selection of the main criterion. At the same time, the remaining criteria were transferred to the rank of restrictions. The values E , M , C and V together give an energetic and qualitative assessment of the process of grinding feed grains. The formulated optimization problem made it possible to find optimal values of factors for each type of fodder grain. The energy intensity of vibratory grinding of barley is 7.618 kJ/(kg∙λ), wheat - 5.196 kJ/(kg∙λ). The quality of the resulting stock feed at the same time complies with regulatory documents.
