Experimental use-wear analysis of end-scrapers from late Ushki culture(Central Kamchatka)

Article represents results of functional analysis of end-scrapers from Ushkisites, cultural layer VI (Central Kamchatka) (fig. 1). We identified a series of instruments for working hides (fig. 2), bone / antler (fig. 3, 1, 2) and wood (fig. 3, 3). Most ofthe studied tools has a hafting wear from bone or wooden handle. The results of theseresearch indicate to the presence of specialization in the process of the leather industry.Obtained new data about the ratio of the morphology studied end-scrapers and theirfunctionality.
