As part of the study, a series of experiments was conducted to investigate the mechanical properties of the human urinary bladder wall using uniaxial tension at various strain rates. Three different loading rates were considered: 50, 500, and 2000 %/min. For each case, stress-strain diagrams of the samples were obtained, ultimate stresses corresponding to the onset of tissue rupture were determined, and an analysis of the mechanical behavior of the studied biological tissue was performed. The obtained results are of interest for the development of finite element models designed to describe the stress – strain state of the human urinary bladder under blunt trauma. Furthermore, the data from this study can be used to create artificial organ substitutes that must accurately reproduce the mechanical properties of the bladder wall, thereby ensuring their biocompatibility and functionality.
