Experimental determination of durability to shock impact of materials, which were applied in fans cases of gas-turbine engines

For design of the fan case of gas-turbine engine, meeting the requirements of modern standards of aircrafts flight validity, the problem of choice the material of protection device possessing high specific characteristics of damping the energy of rotor fragment is actual. In JSC “Aviadvigatel” the unit is created and comparative tests of samples of materials and designs of the fan case by determination of their resistance to impact influence by rotor fragment in the conditions which are most approached to the working ones are carried out. In work the design of unit at which the sample of material of the case works in the conditions which are most approached to conditions of the case at breaking of working fan blade is described. Comparative data on damping the energy of the samples made from titanic and aluminum alloys, steels, composite materials are provided in work.
