Experimental study of loose forages mixing

It is recommended to feed livestock and poultry with grain forage in the form of mixtures, balanced in composition. Mixing of the components is carried out in mixers, which do not always ensure the quality of feed mixtures established by zootechnical requirements. It is proposed to apply a vibrating mixer for high homogeneous feed mixture. The article describes a device and operation of laboratory and experimental vibration mixer of loose forages. The article provides an overview and analytical information on several types of its experimental working bodies, considers vibro-contact conical surfaces, their combination with the hemispheres of the same radius, the flat mixing elements with triangular holes. The object of research is the process of loose forages mixing in a vibrating mixer with conical surfaces of vibro-contact. Methods of laboratory tests include screening experiments, a steep ascent method and multivariate experiment. During the screening experiment identified options of a mixer affecting the homogeneity of the received feed mixture. Taking into account the results of the steep ascent method has been put multivariate experiment and got a mathematical model that adequately describes the loose feed mixing process. According to the results of experimental studies are identified rational parameters of the mixer: the amplitude of the trough fluctuations 11-12 mm, the frequency of the trough oscillation 5,5-6 Hz, the number of mixing elements 6, the angle of trough inclination to the horizontal 7-9 degrees. This homogeneity of the mixture will be about 94-95%. Vibrating mixer of loose forages has been successfully tested in industrial production line for preparation of simple loose feed mixtures for cattle in one of the organizations of agro-industrial complex of the Omsk region and is recommended for further use.
