Pilot laser roundness meter, research for the main measurement error

Бесплатный доступ

The physical and mathematical models for a pilot roundness meter are described. This device scans a surface by a focused beam and determines the reflected beam coordinates. Preliminary results of a measurements series are presented to estimating its main error. The error main factors are evaluated from analyzing this series. Then it was found that the device needs for improving its metrological performance. Taking into account a lack in founding of this research it is proposed to perform a data acquisition and pre-calculating, where the proper technical possibilities are presented. Meanwhile all calculations related with the surface under test profile and map retrieval, and the statistical calculations have to be performed in a “cloud”. The roundness meter structure and features are presented. It is characterized with distributed computing.
