The article attempts to trace the mutual influence of elements of the forensic culture of law enforcement and knowledge from the field of theory and practice of forensic expert activity. It is proposed to supplement the conceptual apparatus of forensic science with the terms “forensic culture” and “criminal reality”. The forensic accents of the cognitive activity of a lawyer are highlighted and explained, their priority is argued. From the standpoint of the worldview foundations of forensic culture, the expert factor in legal knowledge is characterized. The close connection and interdependence of forensic knowledge and the theory of forensic examination are argued. Proposals are formulated to change the organizational and procedural framework of the expert’s activity.
