Living museum technology as a dynamic form of reconstructing historically established activities

This article considers the key characteristics of “living museum” exhibition technologies. As it does so, two main tasks are solved. The first one is to differentiate modern forms of cultural and educational activities related to museum pedagogy and interactive technologies of exhibition work, which are united by the “living museum” concept. Besides, the author rehabilitates the idea of a “living museum” as a certain principle of designing the museum exposition space. The article presents examples of local, intensive and integrated application of these technologies from the activities of the most influential Russian open-air museums (museum-preserves)
