The results and perspectives of breeding of winter rapeseed hybrids in VNIIMK

We conducted our researches on the experimental fields of the All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops by Pustovoit V.S. (Krasnodar) in 2006-2017. The purposes of the research were: studying of CMS-Ogira influence on the economically valuable traits of the winter rapeseed, search of the lines-restorers of fertility with lowered glucosinolate content in seeds, selection of lines with high combining ability to develop their sterile analogs and lines-restorers of fertility with CMS-Ogura system, evaluation of experimental hybrids containing CMS-Ogura by a complex of economically valuable traits. The best varieties and lines develop at the All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops by Pustovoit V.S. were involved as the research objects. Our investigations showed conversion of winter rapeseed inbred lines from a normal cytoplasm to CMS-Ogura did not have negative pleiotropic effect on the basic economically valuable traits.
