The assessment of the characteristics of the body constitution of beef cattle allows to determine the most suitable genotype for efficient beef production. Among the world diversity of specialized meat breeds, it is important to choose the most suitable for certain production conditions. Within the same breed, there are differences between animals caused by the variability of patterns; therefore, the study of exterior features depending on the genotype is important under the current conditions of the agroindustrial complex. Object of the study was the a stock of bovine cattle for meat production, bred in the leading enterprises of the Omsk Region. Depending on the genotype, the stock at study was divided into two groups: the first group included Herefords of Canadian breeding, the second group - Herefords of Siberian breeding.
