Extremism and security problems in the Republic of Tajikistan

This article discusses the concept and classification of extremism and also the concept of religious and political extremism. The author makes an attempt to define the concept of extremism according to an analysis of legislation in the Republic of Tajikistan and the views of researchers. The article also consider issues of national security of the Republic of Tajikistan and the impact of such Afghan terrorist organizations as «The Taliban», «Al-Qaeda» and «Gama'a al-Afghan al-Mojahedin».
