Extremism in youth environment: features of formation and problems of counteraction

The article examines the features of extremism formation in the youth environment, highlights the factors that contribute to the active activity of extremist groups, pays special attention to extremist associations operating in the Rostov region, and also offers some measures to counter extremism in the youth environment. Based on the results of the research, conclusions are formulated about the need to combat extremism as one of the threats to the national security of the Russian Federation.
