Extremism: criminological, psychological and police aspects of counteraction

The article deals with the current operational conditions in the fight against extremism. The authors assess and forecast the speed at which extremist crimes increase. The causes of extremism are revealed. The authors clarify psychological structure of extremism and psychological image of a modern extremist, and reveal organizational and legal grounds necessary for police counteraction of extremism. The conclusions made concern the relevance and reasonability to conduct interdisciplinary study of extremists' criminal activity.
