The article the examines the ruralisation and ex-urbanization as a priority to ensure the development of agro-subsidized regions of specialization. The article focuses on the need to create a new model of territorial development of the economy of the regions. The main directions and priorities of the exurbanization processes in Russia are analyzed. Highlighted key factors affecting the implementation of this process. It also analyzes the social component of this process.
