Existential aspect of the crisis of value foundations of culture

The article examines the existential aspect of understanding the crisis of value foundations of culture presented in the researches of Russian and Western philosophers. Analysis is based on the methodology of the consideration of the crisis in the "Responses to the Challenge". It is revealed that the crisis of culture as a crisis of human is reflected in the fact that person can not give an adequate Response to the Challenge. Considering from who or what comes Challenge (from God, human consciousness or from society), classification considering essence of the crisis of culture as a crisis of human is proposed.
