An elegy: the prolonged epilogue to the history of genre

In the article the problem of elegy standard scenario is considered, which had several key embodiments in the XIX century. The main statement is that: in the poetry of the XX century elegy as a proper genre is impossible because of impossibility of any culture role which could be contrasted to the elegy hero position. On the other hand it (an elegy) still persists as a wide genre platform.
