Electoral absenteeism as a problem of the electoral process in Russia and ways to overcome IT

The article is devoted to the analysis of such problem of the electoral process as absenteeism and the need for its adequate resolution. The authors draw attention to the unresolved issues of information and digital support of the electoral process at the present stage of development as well. The question is indicated about the expediency of forming an organizational and personnel reserve of election commissions. As a way to overcome electoral absenteeism, it is proposed to use the potential of youth precinct election commissions more actively. The experience of their activities in the Ulyanovsk region needs to be scaled up in other regions of Russia, because it should be recognized as successful. This will significantly affect the reduction of the level of legal nihilism in the exercise of citizens' electoral rights. The article analyzes such mechanisms of reducing the influence of electoral absenteeism on the electoral process as improving the system of legal education of young people, creating groups of cyber friends, developing a system of digital support of polling stations, as well as the formation of legal consciousness of citizens of the Russian Federation.
